OAA Reauthorization:   Time to Step Up

The Administration on Aging (AoA) has released principles for Older Americans Act (OAA) reauthorization based on input it received from the aging network.   NCOA supports several of the proposals, but continues to be concerned with calls to consolidate the congregate and home-delivered nutrition programs, albeit with strengthened input from localcommunities.   NCOA continues to make its opposition to consolidation clear, but members of Congress also need to hear from their constituents.   Stay tuned for opportunities to join the NISC Public Policy Committee's grassroots effort targeting lawmakers who serve on the committees that will be writing the OAA reauthorization legislation.
Right now, you can help by completing a short survey about senior center nutrition programs and voicing your concerns on Crossroads.

Medicare Public Service Announcements (PSAs) from NCOA
