Welcome to the Keep Moving web site! The Keep Moving Program is a network of local walking clubs all over Massachusetts that encourages physical activity and socialization for persons over the age of 50.

Participating in a walking club rewards both body and soul. Physical activity improves the overall health and well-being of older adults. Even modest levels of activity done daily for 30 minutes can prevent or control heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, colon cancer, and weight gain. Walking boosts energy levels, improves blood circulation, lowers blood pressure, combats depression and reduces stress. Most important, walking club members build strong friendships and have a lot of fun!!!

We encourage you to join or start a Keep Moving Program walking club in your town. If there is not a club in your town, it's very easy to start one. Look up the New Club Leader Training Schedule and Tools on this web site. Then, contact the Keep Moring Program Leader to find out how you can start a new Keep Moving Program in your community.
